Craftsmanship, experience & a genuine love of furniture

House of Audley was founded on a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship and a commitment to creating beautifully made furniture.

At the heart of the business is Vlad Nemes, a highly commended upholsterer whose career began in Romania, the centre of Europe’s furniture-making heritage. There, he trained under the guidance of master craftspeople and later refined his skills alongside Jay Blades of The Repair Shop, gaining hands-on experience in meticulous restoration and modern upholstery techniques.

With more than a decade of experience across the office, hospitality, and retail sectors, Vlad has honed his craft to an exceptional standard. He’s known for embracing any upholstery challenge with enthusiasm, whether it’s restoring antique heirlooms, crafting bespoke pieces, or creating booth seating for Michelin-starred restaurants. His signature is found in work that blends precision, artistry, and a commitment to quality that stands the test of time.
